3 Dead, 7 Injured in IAF Strike in Gaza

(IsraelNN.com) An Air Force missile strike on the house of a Hamas commander in Gaza City left three dead and at least seven injured Thursday night, according to media sources.

The Hamas commander, Sharaf Farwana, survived the attack which killed his 25-year-old brother and an 8-year-old girl.

The IDF confirmed the strike.


Threats Against from PRC

The Popular Resistance Committees terror group warned Israel Thursday night against carrying out military operations in Gaza, warning that hostage corporal Gilad Shalit would never be reached by the IDF.

Abu Mujahed said no military operation, no matter how large-scale, would reach the Hamas captive "even if the IDF wiped out everyone living in the Gaza Strip," as quoted by the Jerusalem Post news service.


Sderot Mayor: Another War on the Way

Eli Moyal, the Mayor of Sderot said during a demonstration in Jerusalem thursday night that there will be another war soon(Yeah, Duh).

He told thousands of demonstrators in front of the Prime Minister's residence that he was afraid he would soon be “standing here once again with hundreds of bereaved families.” The demonstration was organized to pressure the government to establish an independent inquiry into the recent war in Lebanon and not to free terrorist prisoners in exchange for the soldiers whose abduction sparked the war.

Sderot was plunged into darkness on Thursday night after a Kassam rocket hit a power line in the city during an attack launched from northern Gaza. A woman and her daughter were sent to Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon to be treated for trauma following the attack.

Residents accuse the national government of indifference, failing to implement the necessary steps to halt the attacks from northern Gaza.

Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal was attending the rally at the PM's residence when the attack occurred. Moyal in his statements told the prime minister “we are not crybabies,” insisting Sderot residents are tough, but the government is compelled to do whatever necessary to bring a halt to the attacks.


Terrorists Fire at IDF Force in N. Gaza

(IsraelNN.com) Terrorists opened fire at an IDF force operating in northern Gaza. IDF soldiers are involved in ongoing efforts to bring a halt to the firing of Kassam rockets into southern pre-1967 Green Line Israel.

There are no reports of injuries to Israeli soldiers as a result of the shooting attack.


18 Arrested in Counter-Terror Operations

(IsraelNN.com) IDF soldiers involved in counter-terrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria during the night arrested 18 suspects. Arrests were made in Ramallah and the Bet Lechem area. Suspects in custody include Hamas and Fatah Tanzim terrorists. There are no reports of injuries to IDF soldiers.


Armed Gunmen Hit in Gaza

(IsraelNN.com) IDF soldiers taking part in the southern Gaza counter-terror offensive, Operation Rain Man, fired at armed gunmen in the Khan Yunis area. Members of the force report hitting the terrorists.


Simchon Calling for Efforts to Bring UTJ into Coalition

(IsraelNN.com) Minister of Agriculture Shalom Simchon (Labor) is calling for talks to bring United Torah Judaism into the coalition government. Simchon is calling on his Labor colleagues to work towards bringing UTJ into the coalition as an alternative to Avigdor Lieberman and his Yisrael Beitenu Party. Speaking to Galei Tzahal (Army Radio), Simchon stated that if Labor objects to Lieberman, the party must offer the prime minister an alternative choice.


Hundreds of Arabs Throw Rocks at Soldiers

(IsraelNN.com) Hundreds of PA (Palestinian Authority) residents who are not permitted to enter pre-1967 Israel on Friday morning pelted soldiers with rocks at the Atarot Checkpoint in the northern capital. No injuries were reported.


15 Injured in Gaza

Reports from Gaza indicate 15 terrorists have been injured in rival fighting, a shootout between Hamas and Fatah terrorists. The two terror organizations continue fighting as they struggle for dominance on the PA streets.


PA: 3 Hamas terrorists killed in IAF air-to-surface missile attack in Beit Lahiya

(IsraelNN.com) PA (Palestinian Authority) sources are reporting three Hamas terrorists were killed on Friday morning in an Israel Air Force air-to-surface missile attack in the Beit Lahiya area of northern Gaza.

Military officials report the terrorists targeted were responsible for multiple Kassam rocket attacks on Thursday.


Tibi Demands PA Residents be Permitted into Jerusalem

(IsraelNN.com) Arab lawmaker MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi on Friday condemned Israel’s closure policy which prevents PA (Palestinian Authority) residents from entering pre-1967 Green Line Israel, making it impossible for them to attend Temple Mount Ramadan prayers.

Tibi stated the Israeli policy violates basic Freedom of Religion rights, stating thousands of worshipers are subjected to collective punishment, a violation of international law.


Gal-On Accuses Peretz of Ignoring the Law

(IsraelNN.com) MK (Meretz-Yahad) Zahava Gal-On on Friday accused Defense Minister Amir Peretz of ignoring the law, referring to his obligation to remove unauthorized outposts in Judea and Samaria.

Gal-On stated that Peretz is acting to advance his political interests rather than adhering to the law.
